Korg Legacy Analog discontinued ?

There is a discussion going on at KVR Audio forum regarding the possibility that Korg Lagacy Analog edition is being discontinued

I wonder if anyone from these boards can shed any light on this ?

I've seen such wording from those retailers used in connection with other products that were still available elsewhere, so I wouldn't worry.

I've now contacted Korg UK and they've confirmed that it's discontinued.

Odd they still list it at korg.com with "buy now" buttons then.
Are you sure they didn't just mean the dongle version? Or did you explicitly ask whether *all* versions were discontinued?

I asked Korg UK if the statement on Digital Village's website about KLCAE being discontinued was true. This was their reply :
"Yes, this is correct. Some retailers may still have stock, but we have now finished supplying this product. The Legacy Digital software package is still available."
Since then, I've seen a downloadable version has become available on the US site so I guess this is how they will sell it from now on - it would fit in in with the recent move away from dongle based copy protection.
If so, it would have been better IMO if Korg had made an announcement about all this, instead of leaving users to try and figure out what was going on.

So what dose this mean ?
No longer a Shelf item or no longer period ?
Seams weird if it were the latter as they just released OSX10.6 fix with the CR update.... hmmm
Anybody got the skinny ?

Being discontinued means there will most likely be no new development for KLC AE2007, unless some major bug is discovered. Also, there might be a Win 7 update (if the existing version doesn't work).
Note that at least for now, the KLC-DE is NOT discontinued, only KLC-AE2007.
