Anything to gain from the new DSi XL?

I just read about the new DSi XL and I'm wondering if there are any advantages when using the Korg DS10 plus? Since there are more synths and therefore more tracks in the sequencer, can we benefit from this in some way?

Speakers are supposedly also bigger, which should be a plus.

Besides the speakers, the DSi XL would be just as good as the DSi (both of which are better than the original DS and DS Lite) for running the DS10 plus. The only other potential advantage I can think of is that a pixel on the DSi XL will be bigger than a pixel on the DSi, so if you have trouble selecting precisely, the DSi XL might be better. This isn't a big deal though, I'd imagine.

I have not seen one in person but from the Youtube videos I have seen the size is the only obvious advantage. I'm hoping to be able to control it with fingres instead of a pen

The text will also be more readable at a large size

I'd say it's worth having, if you have the $, or have not just recently upgraded to a DSi (darn!)

thank fully I did not upgrade to DSi yet, actually I waited cos I've heard about the XL long before.

So when I get my DS-10 i will be buying the DSi XL all in one package.

I tried one in the store the other day -

was surprised - it's not that much bigger.

Still, if your are buying now
might as well have the screen as large as possible!
Because DS10+ packs a lot into that screen that you want to get at.

Also note the DS 3d is coming out!
But that's not going to affect synth programs much B-)
