k61 editor is a 32 bit app

... and according to the "readme" in the driver tools package, it can't share midi-in traffic with 64-bit applications.

Tell me please, then, how am I supposed to change channels when tracking in Sonar 64-bit on windows 7 64-bit?

Going 64-bit appears to render my k61 pretty useless if I have to close Sonar to change midi transit channels.

anyone have anything to help me out?

thanks in advance

... OK, I tried sniffing the sysex with midiox (yes it runs on win 7) from the editor to the k61 but I couldn't get it. It seems the editor is sending non-midi data to change transmit channels. I successfully changed controller settings with sysex though.

Is there a sysex implementation chart available that would allow me change transmit channels?

I don't think this is a problem for a lot of people because most DAWs provide functionality to rechannelise incoming MIDI data. Maybe you should look into that on sonar?

Very true about the DAW and I already know that one can set the 'output' channel to a different channel than is being recorded, but AFAICS, there is now way to have SONAR actually _record_ a different channel than what has been sent from the controller... and by _record_ I mean actually write the events coming on channel 1, for example, as an event that is stamped with channel 2.

At any rate, is there a sysex implementation chart that I could hack around with? I would really like to be able to change the k61 transmit channel.

I also noticed my delta control panel mixer is also 32-bit. I don't understand how there could be 64-bit drivers but controlling applications are 32-bit.

thanks for the response
