R3DIAS: New Link, now for RADIAS too! (Updated 28.02.2010)

Hi all,

beeing a RADIAS owner now, I changed the adress and look of my R3 webpage. There I will post my future patches, now for RADIAS.

The page design remains mainly the same (too much work to do for a RADIAS look).

To all R3 Users: The R3 adress will be deleted in the next days, but all patches and infos are transferred to the new one. I will try to find out a way, so you can transcribe the patches to the R3 (if you want). That's why I called it R3DIAS!

I added 2 patches for RADIAS today which were transcribed from R3 patches.

And here is the link:

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

Updated: I added 13 more patches for Radias today!

Enjoy

I like what you did with the side-graphic!

by the way, on your front page you should have used 'especially concerning the vocoder', rather than 'specially'.

I think it would be handy also to separate the R3 and Radias patches a bit more, or maybe put the colour-key at the top at least.

Maybe you should include a little note on how to load R3P and RDP patches into the editor too?

Thanks X-Trade,

I wasnt very satisfied with the solution too. Now I used a table to separate them. I also wrote the patch load instructions so I hope this forum will relax a little about that.

I added 3 more patches for Radias today!

I just noticed your 'SAGA vocoder'. I would love to have that on the Radias.

I probably wouldn't use it, but its just the novelty value, being a fan. You could probably produce a lot more sounds that emulate theirs though - I'd be particularly interested to see the 'Thats as Far as I'll Go' sound - I know they use guitar for it live, but i'm fairly sure its not guitar on the record. They have two Radias modules I think on stage in their current setup.

Hi X-Trade,

well I'll transcribe it soon! Regarding that song 'Thats as Far as I'll Go' I couldn't find a link to that. Is it from Saga too? Maybe do you have a link or can send me a mp3 sample so I can take a hear? (I love challenges :D )

I found it in a few places:

http://www.last.fm/music/Saga/_/That%27 ... +I%27ll+Go
http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/trust/id144975702

It is the opening track on their seccond most recent album - Trust.

I know they came out with that album about the same time they started using a Radias... I'm pretty sure when I saw them before they were using the Radias for it - Before they had a stack of M3s.

Jim Gilmour is an amazing musician and has come up with some great sounds and riffs. I cannot understand for the life of me why he and the rest of the band are not more famous. Maybe I am biased because I am Canadian. :)

Hi X-Trade,

now I tried the Saga lead and it is really a hard work. Due to its playing, it is very difficult to get a deep impression of what are the basics of the sound and what are effects. There is a kind of ambience I can't get and maybe it was made after recording, who knows?

Well here is what I did

http://www.axxim.de/r3dias/Media/Saga%20TAFAIG.rdp

LFO1 is set to increase/decrease the resonance of filter 1, maybe you need to adjust the timing/period or you change it to the modwheel

The Saga vocoder is here:

EDIT: thx X-Trade, it%20was%20 too%20late%20to%20remember%20that%20last%20night :D

I will include them in my page in the next update.

Sorry you have to copy them from the above mentioned links. They don't work automatically because they have spaces and the tags blank my whole message (???)
I will probably try them tomorrow now.

The URL will sometimes show up blank if the link parser doesn't like it. anyway, to get links to work that have spaces you have to use the escape characters. For example, [http://www.axxim.de/r3dias/Media/Saga TAFAIG.rdp] becomes http://www.axxim.de/r3dias/Media/Saga%20TAFAIG.rdp

I must say that it is great that you've done all this. I tried to create this sound a while ago but never finished it...

I pick option 3, which is post another post on this thread to bump it :P

unless of course you can get this stickied in which case i'd actualize it.

Since you're updating patches pretty quickly right now, would it be possible to put an ADDED 02/28/2010 or whatever date next to the patches you post?

Also, welcome to the RADIAS club.
