Ok my korg Zero 8 Mixer was working fine now I am having major sound issues as this weekend I finally had traktor set up with ableton. It was working fine now I have a major sound distortion problem. I think it can be resolved if I can reset the firmware somehow. Let's say I have my external cd player going on channel one then all the rest of the channels have to to be set to midi or I get a major distortion problem. the only time I do not gt distortion is if all the channels are set to midi only....I have tried the factory reset but nothing is working...is there a way I can re-install the fireware because it was working fine for 2 years till now...

I have exactly the same problem!! The distortion started a week ago and it's permanent now. I tried everything including factory reset in the system menu and it'd only go away when I set all the channels to MIDI.

A few more findings:

* the headphone output is affected the worst with a major distortion that follows the sound

* the recording I've done through to the PC is not actually affected. When I record when there's distortion and then turn all channels to MIDI and replay, I see the distortion is not recorded

* a precedent to all this had been a hiss when I first turned the mixer on (a different and a lot louder than the usual one discussed in the forums that's due to the dac design issue) that faded away gradually to almost a point where it's not audible. I didn't think it was a major issue since it tend to go away after 5-10 minutes of warm up. Now the distortion replaced this and it's permanent!

Please let me know in case anyone knows of a solution or workaround since it makes zero8 almost unusable and it's very limiting!!

.

anything new on this issue?

is this still an issue? Whats the update? I would do a factory reset, then perhaps attempt to reload the firmware. But this mixer is a computer so be careful. It is weird.
