How do I do that? Can I load the R3 Patches as they are onto the Radias, (using USB and they Radias Library Editor [I'm assuming the Radias has a sond editor librarian like the R3, right?]) or do I need to convert the R3 Patches into Radias Patches, or what?

I'm new, and this is probably been covered before, or is a simple procedure, I'm just curious. I'm thinking of getting a Radias by selling my R3 and some other stuff...

You must manually recreate them. Just open them and copy parameters.

The best way is, you install both sound editors, open them and put them besides. Then you open the R3 patch and transcribe the settings to the Radias editor. Fortunately the R3 editor shows the value of each parameter underneath each control (in the radias you have to set the cursor on it to see them). Depending on how many features the sound uses you will need between 5 an 15 min. to transcribe it once you got familiar with the positions of the controls on both editors.

There may be a little unsimiliarity if you use waves (DWGS:R3/PCM:Radias) because they are not on the same position, have different names and are slight different. I also experienced some differences in the filter settings, being more aggressive on the Radias when trying to transcribe soft pads, so you have to re-tune a little until it fits your taste.

I have hosted some Radias transcriptions of my R3 sounds at my homepage if you want to give them a try. Most of the audio samples were done with my R3 before I switched to Radias
