I am just getting to grips with a Tr Rack and I hope to use it live but I have a long way to go. At the moment I use an I3 and some soft synths on my laptop all sequenced by Sonar.
I really love the Trinity sounds and had one for a short while but never used it live, I got a Tr rack and hope to use it live, but in multi mode I have to apply all the effects to each program and I will have to save all this and do it all again for each song I play.
I was hoping to just select the sounds I want in multi mode and hear them with effects already added.
It's going to take months for me to arrange all my songs in this way, can anybody explain a quicker way to have the effects that are on the sounds in program mode applied to the sounds in multi mode.
Perhaps I am missing something....................

The main point I always make is to see it as an opportunity rather than a chore. Often a single program will use a number of effects and you don't need all of them in a combi or multi, its just too busy, or you need the slots for others. some might not actually be appropriate to your song, for example you may have a guitar program with a chorus, but you'd rather a flanger or phaser for that particular song... or a reverb instead of a delay.

One point about this is that in program mode, a program has access to all of the simultaneous effects processing power, but in a combi or multi, you have the same effects. This means it is not actually possible to have all effects for every program loaded at once because one program might use five, one might use four, etc.. and you'll find there aren't enough slots, because they all have the same access to the effects structure. so compromises have to be made somewhere and you might choose to leave out more 'transparent' effects such as EQ and compression, or maybe leave out delay and reverb and have these on an external effects processor.

It's not a chore because the sounds are so good, I prefer it to a triton, but when I play live we do about 30 songs on a night so introducing a new instrument is a big task.
I have in the past taken the easy road, on the M1 and I3 I use the sequencer mode as a multi tracker. Basicly I use a sequencer on my lap top to play sounds on the I3 and M1. This means I use just the master effects on the sequencer tracks, I could do the same with the trinity but I would be missing out on a lot of what it can do.
