Hi guy.

We buy last here the korg zero8 and since few month we use that with firewire and traktor scratch pro and virtual DJ.
we use them in a bar whit many bass. the firewire look to disconnect around 2 or 3 time each night.. and make BEEEEEEPP Noise... we have to restart mixer each time...

The mixer is VERY HOT.. dont think its normal...


can you please help me about this problem please ?

it could be many things, I would try another firewire cable, cheap ones suck, then try another computer or firewire card, then reinstall the driver, then update the firmware on the korg if you haven't, then look to tech support, This mixer does get warm, but it should be normal for the stuff it does.

I'm having problems with the FireWire port on my Zero4. I updated the Firmware to 1.6. Used it several times without issue. The FireWire light indicator fails to illuminate & the only sound I get is a high pitched hiss. This normally happens on start up. Turning it off and then back on typically would fix it. However now, it is happening more often and will not work, even when I want to simply mix with my CDJ's. I have tried the factory reset without any change. Zero edit cannot see the mixer when hooked up. I've swapped cables... no change. Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you.

Try to switch on the mixer first. And then the PC/Mac. I got the same issue. The only way to fix it for me - is abovementioned.

Check your PC/laptops firewire chipset.
If it's not texas instruments, you'll have a bigger chance to run into problems like the one you mentioned.

Also check if you're running a 64bit operating system. My experience is that these drivers only work well on Texas Instruments chipsets when you run a 64bit OS, hence that (old pre-2008) macbooks run ok, as these still have texas instruments chipsets, and not Agere.

Correct. Texas Intstrument runs perfect. Other chipsets may fail.
