Artist programs

Post by thuggy186 »

Hello people,
it's me again..lol

i had this question for a while n i was forgetting about it.

what is that mean that if i install the artist program, then the datas will disappear?

is that mean the original preset will get erased or the datas that i've saved will get erased?

i couldn't install it because i was afraid that i might erase the original presets.
(i usually just use presets with little bit of customization, and i don't store them)

I didn't even know what datas i had to move while i was about to install them.
(i couldn't find any datas.......lol maybe because i didnt saved anything?)

if anyone can answer my questions, i will be waiting!!

thank u !!!!!

Well, it will go into a bunch of program slots, so it will overwrite whatever is in them before you load it.

I know it occupies banks A, onwards to possibly F or more. So, yes, it will go over presets if you have presets in those slots. Or it will erase programs you have written to those slots if you have written them there.

You can easily restore the presets though using a backup from the editor, or using the function from the 'Utility' menu on the Radias itself. So you shouldn't be afraid to go over them temporarily.

Of course, you can also audition the patches straight from the editor, just by opening the library and clicking on the patches you want to hear. What you can then do is create a new library, tell it to 'Recieve All' from the Radias, and then drag programs from the Artist Programs library over to your new library. Once you are done, 'Write All' (or 'Transmit All'?) back to the synth, and it will put them in the locations you dragged them to in the library.

thank u for the gooood reply.
it's helping me alot.

but one thing i want to make clear :)
if i can easily restore it, is that mean that i can over write with artist programs and add my original preset on that by using utility or back up function?
