Sometime in the last while MySpace apparently changed the default settings so that friend requests are auto-accepted. I don't believe they sent out notice of this. I'm guessing they did some update that changed the settings. Someone alerted me to this yesterday so I went and checked.
I have Obama as my first friend. Sure enough, I have lots of new 'friends' of the Tea Party and HATE variety, and even a couple of terrorist types. Nice stuff.
So if you didn't know about it you might want to go reset your settings so that you can screen friend requests before accepting or not.
