Hi everyone. I need some help. The volume in my PA1X keeps dropping to about half the volume when i have the sliders pushed to maximum. And for the last few time i have used it the sound has remained about half the volume it should. My nearest Korg Service centre is in Milton Keynes and i am in Birmingham which is a hell of a distance.
There was a self diagnostic tool built into the PA1X . Can anyone tell me how to use it ?
Does anyone know of anyone that can service my Korg nearer to me than Milton Keynes ?

Hi Worth,
Is the problem only with the internal speakers or is it also with your headphones and line out?
If its the speakers only then the problem must be with the amplifier. I'm wondering if you might be able to replace the amp/transformer yourself?
Just a thought.
Hope you get this fixed soon.
Best,
John

My PA1XPro occasionally suffers from this sort of problem. In my case this has been that one of the levels seems to drop, but there seems no real pattern to which drops.
What happens is that the level drops and this is reflected in the slider on the screen.
This has happened on and off over time, but generally has not worsened, so I have grown to live with it.
The effect is noticeable when playing through a PA through the line out jack as well as throughthe headphones when playing in the house.
As such I am interested in the thread.
I also like to prepare a CD for practice with the kids, but recording using Audacity last year resulted in a very strange unbalanced mix. I need to try this again with a new cable, but could this be related?

Hi calef,
I had this too..You can try this: Set your assign button on for example assign 1 and save this in performance 1.1 The sliders of the pa have a bit vibration,, that's why the level get suddenly low..To avoid this You have to assign it to or 1 or 2, but not the volume.
This will help,, it helped me too.
Worth..Maybe also a solution for you..
bye
