... with full size keys?

Tall order I know, but I'm looking for something to take to parties, festivals and camping with my mates who play acoustic guitars.

Yes I know that there's loads of cheap Casios, Yamahas and similar about, but I'm spoilt with my M3, XS, Fantom G and JP8000, so I want something with quality, professional sounds. An X50 would be ideal if it had speakers & battery power.

Any make and model considered, new or old, preferably old so I can one up for pennies on fleabay.

Any ideas guys & gals?

Hi

Almost all pro keyboards don't have spakers, becoz they are planned for stage use, and a decent pair of speaker means to add unnecessary weight and loss unnecessary space.
If you still need speakers.. the low priced arrangers from KORG would be helpfull, but they are not battery powered.

I strongly recommend you the Roland Juno Di, I don't like the Roland sound, but seems to be your best choice, also you could use a couple of pc speakers with it or a cheap PA system.

Regards.
Alvaro.

Idea:

Buy an X50, a set of lightweight speakers, and a small yet powerful portable battery power supply.

Now duct tape everything to the X50.

Tada!

lol I'm actually considering doing this if I ever get a keytar, I want it to be all-in-one.

And sure its not professional, but if you're playing any of the cooler genres it'll give ur X50 a total ghetto-modification-awesome look, lol ;-)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing:

Get an X50, tape a pair of those portable Marshall amps - or maybe just portable MP3 player speakers - to the handle bars.
