I no longer have my Korg M50 but Still have KARMA software for M50 that can be legally transfered for a $30.00 transfer fee. It usually costs $169.00

I would be willing to trade for VSTs or Hosts that can also be legally transferred.

email mtr At austin.rr.com or call/text 512 Six 33 3893

Thanks! Riley :D

Here's the transfer policy, the 30$ is paid directly to Stephen Kay.
It is worth quite a bit more than $30.00, If you want it, I'll sell it to you for $50.00 and then you will need to pay the transfer fee. So the total cost will be $80.00, which is less than half price. Thanks! Riley

================================================================
The policy regarding transfer of ownership of KARMA Software (KARMA MW, KARMA Triton,
KARMA Oasys, KARMA M3, KARMA M50 (as of Sep 1, 2004) is as follows:
================================================================

1) There is a charge of $29.95 US to transfer ownership of the license. This covers the work involved on our side to change records, provide authorization codes, tech support in the future, future updates, etc.

2) Software that was used to qualify for a discount when purchasing a different version of software MAY NOT be transferred. In other words, if you owned a copy of KARMA MW (for example) and use it to qualify for a previous owner discount when ordering KARMA M3 software, you may not transfer the KARMA MW license to someone else.

3) The previous owner must send an e-mail to support@karma-lab.com stating that they have sold the software and no longer intend to use it. They must then delete the software from any computers in their posession, and will then no longer be eligible for free updates, upgrades, or authorization codes.

4) To take advantage of this offer, the new owner needs the customer registration number of the software, which the previous owner should be able to supply you with (note: it is NOT the challenge/response code.) It is a number that looks like "KMW-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" or "KTR-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX". If this number is not available, we can generally look it up provided the original owner contacts us according to step 3.

5) Once you have the number, the license transfer option can be ordered online at the Karma-Lab Store:

Purchase the License Transfer Option

6) On that page, you enter the Customer Registration Number from step 4, and complete the rest of the order. (If you do not have the customer registration number, we can retrieve it for you from the system provided the previous owner contacts us as mentioned in step 3.)

7) Then, you will receive a download link to the full installer of the latest version, for both Mac and Windows platforms, and you can choose which installer to download.

Note: this policy is subject to change at any time.

in that case... forget it!

Although 80 bucks seems a good deal for the Karma software as a package, I don't believe that _you_ have to loose 30 on it just to be able to transfer a fully paid license (which you did... you bought it, you ain't gonna use it anymore, you should be able to sell it or even give it away freely)

I'm not paying the original author for a piece of second hand software.

That would be like buying a second hand M50 and having to pay Korg a certain amount of money just to be able to get any sound out of it...

Don't get me wrong, like I said: I'd be willing to pay you 80 bucks for the Karma software. I'm just not willing to cough up the DRM related stuff (let alone the hassle of trying to do so)
