Using a PREamplifier with the Korg TR at Live!

Hi! this is the first time that I post a new topic in this forum. I would like to tell you, that I baught a Preamplifier, to use at live.
The reason's are here:
I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and usually here the P.A are in Mono, no matter if its a pub, a disco, or a small theater, all is in mono...Only some main theaters have a STEREO P.A.
So...maybe I send 2 cables to the mixer of the sound "guy", but in the end will be sounding the same in both speakers...and not a real stereo...
So what we usually do is to plug just the Mono channel...
What I've decided is to use a Pre Amplifier, cause really the synth's at live sounds WEAK!
I know that some professional and famous keyboard players use a Pre. So I would like to know what you think, and what you think is better....
I cant a afford a rhodes, or a moog, but i think that a tube pre could give me a fatter sound...
