SP-10 pedal problem

so I've been using the korg PS-1 pedal for a while without any problems, but recently its become pretty sensitive and sometimes does not sustain notes when I press it down, or randomly cuts off sustain when I have it pressed down. Do I just need a new pedal? kind of annoying considering I blew 30 bucks on this one.
