Hi everyone,

I'm a total newbie so be nice. I've seen how brutal you guys can be....LOL

I've read all of the Manual but haven't come to a solution, so I figured I would turn to the source............YOU!

I want to key-split 2 different sounds on my X50.

PROGRAM A:
One sound is the (A060 Power-Chord), I want to use on the low end/half of the keyboard

PROGRAM B:
The other sound (just a basic piano), I want to use on the high end/half of the keyboard.

I understand the Key-Split feature can only be done in Combi Mode.

Here's my problem;
I want to use the "A060 - Power-Chord" Program sound (found only in Bank A of the Program-Catalog) but can't find it when I'm in Combi Mode.

How do I move/copy paste/re-invent this Program sound over to the Combi editing side to use as part of a Key-Split?

Thanks,
Stressed Out

you select program A60 as the program for a timbre in the combi.

What exactly is the problem in more detail?

Jevans 4 ...I'm not in front of my Keyboard right now ..but to elaborate a little more on x-trade's reply...if you have installed x50 editor ..( which if you haven't ...you should ! ) ...when you open a program in the combi mode...the first tab ..( i think it is the play tab ) ..shows all of the instruments that program is using..if you click on the first instrument ...a drop box will appear ..( it's kind of an orange color ) ..it will allow you to go to any bank ..once you find the instrument you are looking for..click the instrument/sound/timbre you want it and it will replace the existing instrument in program..simple as that...go to utility and press write ..it will ask you if you are sure..and hit the " enter " button your computer...and it will be saved...you have to hit the enter button ..do not press ok..i don't think it saves otherwise...

for splitting instruments on your keyboard...if you scroll the different tabs available in the X50 editor...one of them will have a box that has a line for each instrument in program...you can grab and drag individual lines to split instruments on the keyboard....again ..you have to save by going to utility ...write program ...and hitting the enter button on your computer keyboard...hope this helps you...RW
