Hi everyone, I know maybe this had been asked before but when I use the search option I get tons of results from the different forums.

1. Is it possible to have slow tempo on the drums and faster on another timbre (some sound recorded using the step sequencer)?

2. How can I split the keyboard to use different sounds on each octave by example?

3. And maybe a small explanation on how to create drum parts cause using the presets ones is kind of limitating (well extremely limitating)

Sorry if you think my questions are pretty stupid and I'm lazy to read the manual or something but english isn't my main language and I'm having a hard time figuring this things out because I only have time for my radias on weekends because of school... I'm about to graduate so it's kind of hard to find time to go through all the menu...

Btw all I've used before the radias was a micron but that toy was much easier to use haha the radias is a present from my parents and I love the sounds even when I don't have idea what I'm doing just tweaking the knobs it sounds great hahaha that's why I would like to learn all I can about it

You can't have a different tempo, That wouldn't make sense anyway as they wouldn't be in sync and it would be a mess. The device has a global tempo which drives all of the tempo-based parts.

You can however set the beat division for actually anything tempo synced. This determines how fast or slow it is within the tempo. So if you set it to 1/4 it will change once every beat. Set it to 1/8 and it will changes twice every beat, up to 1/32 I think.

If you go into the 'timbre' page (press the button along the bottom), and use the Page+ button to page through you will see a KeyZone section. Each timbre can have its own 'zone', meaning you set the top and bottom notes it responds to, and then it only plays within that range.

To make it easier, when you have that field highlighted you can hold down the EDIT/Yes button and press the key you want on the keyboard, and it will put that value in the field.


As for drum editing, if you press the 'drum' button and scroll to a blank slot, with the 16 keys in 'program' mode it allows you to hear and select each of the 16 drum parts. You you can also go to 'page' mode or just use the knobs and page+/- and up/down buttons.

You'd think drum editing would be easier with the software editor, but actually I just found it more confusing. For general programming though you should definitely try using the software editor - you get all the parameters right there in front of you on the screen.

This one's easy. Go to page 3, tab 3 (TIMBRE - ZONE). There, you can specify top and bottom note ranges for each of the four timbres in your program.

About the different tempo... I was thinking about having a slow drum track and use faster arpeggio to add some cool sounds... I dont know if you understand but anyway hahaha thanks again

You certainly can do that. You need to set the beat division on the arpeggiator to (say) 1/16. That way you have a fast arpeggiator, relative to the tempo of the song.
