R3 and logic

Hi I've done a lot of searching and reading and I am still very confused. I am currently using logic, and am able to get logic to record midi data, but can't figure out how I can get it to actually store the sound and play it back. I have the R3 hooked up via usb, and also have it ran through my external sound card. I can get feedback through the speakers when played live, but once recorded in logic, I get no sound just the recorded notes. I have searched all over the web and through the owners manual and get seem to figure it out. Any suggestions on how I can get the sound recorded and to play back in logic?

No, nobody said that, so it's rather strange that you came to that conclusion. No mics are involved to record the audio from the R3. USB is also not involved for this task. You need the right audio cable to hook the R3 audio outputs to some audio inputs on your computer.
