Unresponsive or damaged key

Post by StaleYolk »

I have had my Tr88 for a little over two years now purchased it new. And today i discovered that my G2 only responds every second time i touch it. Bizarre i know... it has nothing to do with how lightly or hard i press on the key it will only respond evry second time. I have tested it with headphones directly into the unit as well as connected via midi into logic, and audio into logic. And It only sends the note-on message every second time. After this series of simple tests I have come to the conclusion that there is something internal wrong with the keybed. Anyone with experience on this? Is this something that is expensive or something that i can tackle myself with a little knowledge and know-how?
