Finally...i can be back to normal life and the forum now. After 2 months of
selling equipement, building my comp and then buying everything new again.
Sorry, i was just popping once in a while saying nonsense but now i am fully
back all renewed from computers, to synths, sounds cards, software and else.
This time i am in the PeeCee World...no more Mac.

:D

Thanks Guys,
CompMusic, its complicated, lol, its a long list:
First i built a Custom Audio PC which took me over 2 months of research on
what to use and a best configuration, i ended up with an i7 860 and ASUS
P7P55D-E LX. Noctua Cooler, J.Skillz RAM (4GB), ASUS ENGT240 Silent GFX,
SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W, Win 7 X64 Pro and few Caviar Blacks.
I built it my self so didnt spend money on labor which was also pleasure to
do it on my own, then it took me 3-4 days for instalation and configuration.

I also bought the TC Impakt Twin and RME FireFace UC, both FW SoundCards.
I also bought the TC PowerCore FireWire with the Virus Synth.

Software wise i upgraded to Reason 4, Kontakt 4, Goliath, URS Bundle and
also bought SampleRobot/WaveRobot (getting into more serious work) and
also upgraded to Cubase 5.5 from Cubase 4.5.

Bought Adams A7X Speakers and i have another pair of Tannoy Reveal Active,
the green ones, the ones with the light on the bottom.

Now what i sold is a different story...lol...i still got my M3 which i would
never be without one, my TB303 and my Prophecy, everything else is gone, i had
over 15 keyboards...PA2X/800 i dont need, i always have Someone's at my house
so i sold that too. I sold my Power PC G5 Mac, Dual 2x2.7 GHZ, sold my Appogee
Rossetta800, my Motu 896HD and few other things.Liontracs MediaStation Groove X7
coming my way soon too, thats why i still keep my Collossus software,
Goliath wont work there cuz of iLock while C is online Activation.

So far with what i have right now i am way more satisfied then with what
i had before, i wanna go Completely Digital and just have one MIDI controller
in front of me, which will probably be the M3 and just a good Mic Pream,
i still have my old good Avalon...and of course, i bought a new Ashtray.

Salute

Congratz Nedim.
Why did you go for Caviar Blacks? Why not straight to SSD and have a CB as a storage drive.
I cannot start to explain how much improvement an SSD brought to my PC, especially running audio tracks in cubase/ableton. Everything is instant.

I will do that soon, probably get a 180GB SSD just for Audio Tracks and
thats it...otherwise i need lots of storage, i got over 4 TB now...for SSD
i'd have to sell my neighboors house too...lol.
But Caviar Blacks are performing TOP too, its a powerfull system.
My Studo Sample Library is over 3-400GB it self when you combine like
Kontakt 4 is 40GB, Goliath is 40GB, Battery3 is around 13GB then i have
BigFish Libraries, other EWQL Libraries Zero-G and all kinds of stuff.

Yep, the b. caviars are still great performing spinners. They used to be my main drives, until an SSD was slotted in. Now the WD's are just storage drives. But thats a kick ass setup you have there. That will chew anything you throw at it.

Hi Nedim,
English Please.
Haven't got a clue what you've said, but sounds REALLY impressive. Haa Haa. I do know what an ASHTRAY is, so I'm not totally clueless.

Congratulations for putting all that together.

So, you're going to get a Media Station. Dennis ( Miden) seems to be pretty happy with his nowadays.

Do you run all this under Windows?? if so which version.
I've been wanting to upgrade my laptop, but I've been concerned some of my old software may no longer work, I'm still on XP.

best wishes
Rikki

Hi Nedim,
thanks.
I've been thinking about setting up my old softsynth/software realtime arranger setup again. Maybe by now, they'll have updated the software to run on windows 7 (if required). I'll do some checking.
Hubby offered me a new laptop, but they all now run on Windows 7 , so I was a bit reluctant.

Thank you

best wishes
