Fingered chords (chord and bass) in real time
Bennu yes you can do this
The newer Korgs (Pa500, Pa800, Pa1X, Pa2X, etc.) have a feature called "bass and lower backing" that makes it very easy to do this by just checking the box.
But to do it on the older Korgs means programming a special style. I made a style called Rubato Trig (short for trigger) that does exactly what you want, but I used string sounds, so you will have to revoice it for Bass and EP Galaxy.
Basically it is a very simple style- one accompaniment track plays a triad, and another sounds the bass note. Both notes are sustained for the entire duration of the style tracks. The Retrigger parameter is set on both tracks so that if you release and press the keys, the notes are re-sounded at a new pitch.
There are two ways you can use this style. You can turn "Memory" off (so when you release the keys the notes stop sounding), OR you can activate Sync Stop. Either way will work, but if you want to do a backing sequence then you cannot use Sync Stop.
You can also use this kind of style to trigger arps on other workstations, karma, etc. by sending the midi out from the accompaniment track that plays triads.
I cannot post the style right now but I will later today. Now would someone PLEASE answer MY question about Chord recognition? (see thread below.)
Thanks!

Rubato style that works like Yamaha "Stop Accompaniment
Here is a link to the Rubato style I promised earlier today. Sorry to cross-link you, but I could not figure out how to create an attachment on this forum so I posted it on the Korg Arranger forum at the SynthZone BBS.
