Pa80-full set

Post by eso62 »

I've got full set for pa80 which is extracted to 11 floppy disks with CAR.DAT extension and 12th floppy is actual set with styles,perfor.etc.. I formated my hard drive and 16MB flash card. The OS is 3.05 version. Where those 11 floppy's is going, to Flash card or Hard drive and same with 12th floppy. Am I using disk backup function or disk restore function.Could someone please give me some advice.I understand that this is already asked milion times, but for me pa80 is new thing and just need some beginers help.

The .DAT files are usually the samples which will load into your Flash card.

the quickest way, i my opinion is "copy" each of the floppy disks to a location on the hard drive, then do a "Card Restore" from that location on the hard drive.

alternatively, do a Card Restore from the floppies, but it takes longer..

Thanks so much MrVlad
I guess I need to create some kind of folder in HD to copy all those floppy's in it. Also folders 1.2.3/4.5.6./7.8.9 also have to be created right because the HD is fully formated. I thing I am getting the concept of how to work with Pa80,but still help is needed greatly.

if you want to fill you PA80 with hard drive Styles then yes you need to create the 1.2.3 etc folders and copy the styles in.

The I remember doing it is load a set in to the USER 1,2,3 and then from the menu doing a copy from current to the 123.set folder on the HD, then loading another set into the USER, and copying to the 456.set folder etc.

OK MrVlad
I"ve got all 11 cardbackup floppy's into HD.Now do I need to create one cardbackup folder and put all 11 in it in order to do card restore or it will be done automaticly when I start card restore or it will go one by one floppy.
Hope you understand my question.
About styles that lesson is now mastered. Thanks a lot

if I remember correctly, they have to be all in the same folder and then just do a card restore, then remember to load the set on disk 11 into user 1,2,3
