HELP

Post by gel »

had the m50 for a little while now and love it. my set up is very basic at the moment, having sold alot. ive never wanted to go down the computer route( which probably limits me in some ways) and im currently using the sequencer on the m50, then recording that into a boss 1200 cd multitrack., then putting lyrics over the top. what i want to do is possibly having a unit that organises the structures of my tunes, I had an MPC 2000xl , but found it time consuming, and to be honest, only really used it as a sampler/ beat maker. i also want to incorporate some old school drums on my songs. i just want things simple . can anyone advise me on what i should buy, and how it will make things easier for me .wll appreciate any advice.

but having the BOSS what are you not able to handle? to save songs? or part of the songs?

m50 using CUE LIST already allows to organize the different part of a song (e.g. intros, verse, chorus, solos....) or several songs putting them in the order you prefer allowing a quick re-order / recalling of them as needed.

to incorporate (i mean recording) old school drum, since m50 does not have sampling you need an external multi-tracks recorder as your BOSS or any pc-based DAW.

or you could program everything on m50 sequencer, make it controlling internal synth engine and any external gear and then record eveything on your BOSS.

Gel -Boss 1200CD

Post by kev410 »

Hi..I have been considering the Boss 1200CD. How do you like? I know that there are newer recorders out there and Boss1200 has been out there a while..but people still rave about it on product reviews. Just trying to get another opinion. Thanks
