My new website.

Post by Sharp »

Hi all.

I'm working on setting up a new website for myself and it's a place you might like to visit as I will be using a robot and some clever software to display images that are anything from hundreds to thousands of mega pixels in size.

It's very early days yet, but I've just put the first image on the main page now. It's an eye popping 837 Mega Pixel image of a fishing village a few miles from my house.

Don't be shy with the Zoom Slider

And I thought that the 9 megapixels I'm getting from my new (2nd hand) PowerShot were good...

You can see (almost) the individual leaves on the trees, or the whole panoramic view. Spectacular!

I'm assuming this works by stitching many photographs together?

EDIT:
It took me a while, but there is some joining artefact on the ridge above the white buildings in the left half of the image. Sorry Sharp!

No need to be sorry. The images are so big that it's hard to find every little glitch and fix them first time around.
