I have KORG TR 61 keys workstation. Unfortunately I plugged its adaptor which is 110V supported to 220V. When I turned it on, its LCD blinks for half a second then goes blank. And after that it doesn’t work. Changed its fuse, now LCD just displaying white light without any writing over it like “KORG” e.t.c. Moreover keys obviously not working. In-short workstation is dead. How to fix it? Kindly suggest me something.

Well it could be the power supply that is dead - so you'd have to get a new one to check.

However, for most hardware issues, the best solution is to take it to a KORG service centre or to an electronics engineer who specifically does keyboard repairs - for example I use a synth/guitar shop nearby which does repairs.

If it is still in warranty (or even if it is not), you can often take it back to where you got it for sending off for repair.

In short, go through the official channels. It will cost you money. But unless you have extensive electronics knowledge then you run the risk of doing more damage by opening it up.

Dear, i bought it from JAPAN. And it’s almost impossible to ship it back to its manufacturer as I am resident of Saudi Arabia. Here I couldn’t find service center of KORG. Though service center of YAMAHA and ROLLAND does exists here. Fixed its adaptor and its providing 9volts output but still it’s not working properly. And yes you are right that I should adopt proper channel. Basically I am Electrical.Engineer still I am hesitating in doing its work deeply on my own. Really appreciate your genial reply. Thanks.
