Any reasons why?

What makes you say it is discontinued?

It's off of KORG's website and I've also recently seen a list of discontinued items from KORG with the RADIAS included in it

It sure seems discontinued...at least in the USA.
No longer listed on the US website, online dealers no longer list the keyboard version and some (like MF) no longer list the rack version either.

Not sure why it's been discontinued, the Radias is a great piece of kit and is Korg's most recent flagship virtual analogue synth. Maybe a Radias II at Namm?
With the prevalence of computers and software thesedays I fear Korg may be downsizing and miniaturising their products, targetting the cheaper end of the market to sell in larger quantities.

Yeah, I've heard people say they'll show off the new DIAMETER at Winter NAMM haha
But it is true, with all of these "micro" products in line

The Korg rep at Dawsons said it was because it contained lead which doesn't conform with EU law.

omg..... are you saying korg still uses solder on electronic parts?
are the EU not forgetting the solder tax they founded their little empire with??

I can't quite believe that it uses non lead-free solder. I mean, that rule came into force years ago and I thought pretty much everything was made with lead-free solder these days.

I took the post about lead-based solder as being a joke.
Either way, grab the RADIAS while you can. I thank Korg (and secretly X-Trade) every time I use mine.

I love my Radias - one the best and most intuitive pieces of kit I've ever used, but having bought a Korg Monotron for a laugh, I see the MS20 filter is alive and well, and could be used in a revamped Radias/MS20 hybrid. One that flows between programmes like an Electribe - ideal for extended techno sets

You can still buy the keyboard version direct from Korg's online store for 1199.00 though quantity is limited. I discovered it accidentally while purchasing an accessory online from their regular site. If you click "Buy Now" for anything, you will be automatically sent to the online store. The Radias is under "Synths and Modules" and on the second page. Here is the link
