vocodor looper?

Is it me or is the kaoss pro's vocodor looper hard to use? I think its voice 199. Anyway, it seems you have to tap and sing to get the vocodor looper to work. However, when I do that I sometimes get only the partial audio to what I sang or I don't get anything at all. sometimes, it even sounds nothing like what I sang. Any suggestions?

Vocoder looper? Isn't program 199 just a looper effect? As in it captures the amount of audio that you specify by putting your finger along the X axis and repeats it. No vocoding as far as I know.
