Have you actually routed anything to the individual outputs?
They are useful for your own needs but aren't actually configured for use with any of the existing combis.
You just use a normal mono jacklead like you use for the Main Outs.

Then you haven't routed anything to the individual outputs.

I'm with soflames.
I'd like to route everything to those ports. I like the idea of fixed volume on them (to go to my soundcard) freeing headphones to change volume.
So can a user make all sounds appear on the "individual" jacks by a global setting?

No. The 'individual' sockets have to be routed individually for each program.
A good example is where you are recording in the studio and you have an pad with an arpeggiated synth and you want to record them to different tracks by using the alternate outputs.
Or if you are playing live and want to route them out to different channels of a submixer to control the volume/effects/eq of each.
Or perhaps if you want to create a 'quadrophonic' setup

Or when you want to route a click-track to the drummer, but not to the audience.
