PA800 is a discontinued line by KORG after the Elite one?!

Hi
i've heared some news from KORG official dealer in Dubai-UAE that the PA800 won't be sold and been considered as discontinued line by KORG and they'll be only selling the new PA800 Elite edition....
is it correct?? or just a Bulls**t.
hopefully if someone has some official confirmation/news

Above said is probably rumour #4871873, that's been mentioned on this forum. Personally unless it is on korg's official (and that does NOT include this forum), then it's horse manure.

Rumor or not, don't you think these two keyboards aren't all that different? They're basically the same keyboard, only one has an internal HD and Mp3 playback capability, right?

that's true they are matching in all except the HDD & MP3 player...but price wise is gone mad.
i.e.: the price of normal PA800 were been sold here in UAE form the delaer for US$ 2420 while the Elite is for 2860 !! so it is not Justifiable to pay that difference for these above extra options which might not be necessarily for keyboard players...
don't you think so? or at least form me im not intersted in such option...
maybe it is a marketing from the delaer to push the sale up of this Elite one! but believe it is not fare as long as these options can be added to the normal PA800 when ever any owner of the normal pa800 wants...so the Elite version shouldn't even be called as a limited edition.

(In germany normal Pa800 costs ~2000€, elite ~2300€.
Mp3-Board costs ~230€ and HD-Kit (without a HD) ~75€.
Before there was an elite-edition the normal Pa800 cost ~2300€.)
In my opinion the mp3-board is a good option and the HD-Kit is not necessary.

Actually I agree with you, because I haven't added any of those options to my keyboard. I don't need any of those options myself. I just connect my iPod to the mixer and know for sure it'll playback the mp3 correctly without any glitches.
