Performance problems on PA800

Hey guys,
I spent many hours creating my own sounds by combining several samples and applying the appropriate effects. All this work was done in "SOUND" mode. Now, I went back to style mode and started creating and organizing my performances. Most performances point to 1 or 2 voices in the uppers and strings in lower. The weird thing is, once I am in Style Play mode, the "sounds" sound different. For example, I created a portamento flute that is also MONO/Legato. When I load it in SOUND mode it sounds like I want it. However, in style play mode I feel the effects are gone and its no longer mono, its Poly and I can play chords. WHY IS THAT? :(

Maybe the FX are being overridden in Style Play? I am new to Korg so this might be a great learning experience. I appreciate any feedback.

Hi oberguti

look to Global/general controls/lock/FX Voice P.
There you can lock and unlock "upper 1 FXs"

You have only to FX-Blocks (C & D) for your live-sounds (up1-3 & lower).
In your sound-editor you can set this fx´s for each single-sound.
But you can not load all 3 sounds with this settings to all 3 or 4 live-sounds for building your sts or performances.
So you can only set 1 sound with his original settings you´ve done in the sound-editor.

With the LOCK (see above, when marked), you can load all sounds without his own fx or when unlocked only upper 1 will load his own fx, which you had set in the sound-editor.

When you want to play performances or sts with more than 1 sound, you must set the fx for upper 2 and 3 new.
When the lock is open, you can use the settings for the begiining of your edtits and up 1 will each time load his fx-settings.

Attention: In this case , each new sound on up1 will overwrite your old fx-settings.

When you want to search a good single-sound to fix it into a sts, then load it into up1. Then you can hear the original fx. (lock open).
