Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum but trying Radias for few wks. I just started to experiment with Radias Editor and create the library and able to receive and transmit back and forth. However when i go to list of drum kit there are no drum kits, every slot in drum kit show Init Drum. Any suggestion how i can synch and able to see all drum kits in my editor.

Happy New Year.

Hi

When you see the screen in the editor with all the Init patches select the first patch and then look at the Radias display. Select the first drum patch and click receive in the editor.

Just keep incrementing the drum patch in the Radias and work your way down the list of Init patches to fill them out.

Perhaps there is a better way but I don't know it :)

Thank You for the tip and it worked. Now you could perhaps also tell me how to save and copy the drum sequence if you have created in one program and you want to copy the same sequence data to another program. If i could figure out how then i could copy and paste the modulation sequencer data from one to another program.

Thanks a lot for help.

I rarely use the editor, but I think the feature that you should look at is 'receive all' when you start a new library file, rather than just 'receive all programs', or whatever it is called.

I'm not sure about copying the sequence from one program to another unfortunately, I've never really used the editor except to tweak things after programming on the hardware.

I do expect that there is a utility option (the last page button on the bottom 16 keys strip) to copy a sequence or arp pattern from another program.

Hi Moniz,

when you open a patch (double click) in the editor, each section (like timbre, synth, mod seq, insert fx, etc) has a symbol before its name that looks like a target with a red dot in the middle. You can click and drag them from one source to a target (of the same class of course).
To copy the settings for a section from one patch to the other, you have to open both and then drag from one to the other the parts you like to be copied.

By dragging the symbol from a timbre, you can copy the entire timbre to another one

Between the same patch, dragging will swap the settings between source and target ( a link arrow is displayed). To copy them, hold the <ctrl> key while dragging(a plus sign will be displayed).

Please note that to be able to copy such settings, the target section you want to copy to, must be "on", else a void symbol is displayed

This is very usefull when you have timbres you would like to duplicate and modify to create new variations or to set up patches with your favourite timbres.

Ahh.... and happy new year to all!

Thanks bro.

It worked like a charm. But how would you do the same function without
Editor, on the keyboard?

Hmm..

I think the best way to go is copying a patch to other and then modifiying it. If it could be so easy in the Radias itself, it wouldn't make sense to program an editor.

Hi axxim,

When you mentioned copy a patch you mean copy a program or copy a timber. It would be nice if i could copy the whole program but i don't see
and place in utility to copy a program but there is a command to copy the timber and it does not copy the Arp. or Seq. pattern. One has to copy the timber and then copy the seq. or Arp. Please share if you know a way to copy the program to a user slot for modification.

Thanks,

Moniz

Not sure if you are asking this for the editor or the Radias itself.
In the editor you go to the source patch, right click it and select copy, then go to the target patch and click paste.
In the Radias you go to the source patch, then push the WRITE button and then select the target (Write Program To:Pxx) patch with the dial and confirm with EDIT/YES.

I think you surely know that so if that wasn't the question be more specific

Thanks axxim,

Write function does create a copy on user slot to modify.

Thanks for all the help.
