Kronos a Worthy Upgrade from M3? IF Yes, Keep m3 or sell it?

This question had to come up sooner or later... I may as well start it up...
Based on the information that we have at this point, Is the Kronos a worthy upgrade over the M3, and if so will you keep your m3 or sell it....
(does it make sense to have the m3 and the Kronos?)
please respond to the poll question and leave a comment about why you voted the way you voted.
Thanks.

I just listed all of my gear on CL: both Radias', one of my Triton's, fully loaded M3, expansion cards, both DW-8000s, my DSS-1 and other stuff. The Kronos will make it all basically obsolete.
All I'm keeping is my main Triton and M50 because I have a bunch of gigs between now and when that thing finally ships. Once it ships, the M50 will go to and I'll be down to my Triton and the Kronos. And if you notice, I KEPT the Triton and sold the M3.

Well, so far only the DSS-1 sold (in like 15 minutes) but I took such a bath on it. The other stuff may not sell at all. The RADIAS is such a cool beast, I may end up keeping one of them. I wasn't very successful on the EXB-RADIAS to be honest. I was able to kinda re-create some patches but a direct conversion was REALLY complicated because some had to be done with combis and I got lost in the process.
I listed everything at the high end of the used market (except the DSS-1). The Kronos will make everything SO redundant I know I'd never use it again. The DW-8000 w/ MEX-8000 and my DVP-1 will be the ones that hurt the most. NOTHING on the new or used market can replace that DVP-1.

I seriously want a KRONOS !
will buy one as soon as we get a price-tag on it in sweden.. I will then sell my M3..
I was sold the second I saw that MOD-7, MS20 and Polysix was included!
I wonder (but I doubt it..) if Kronos will be able to load/convert M3 patches into HD-1..? If not I'll have some work to do.. and I will miss the radias voccoder a bit..

I would love to follow suit, but unfortunately I don't think if I PX or even sold
all my gear (guitars and AX3kB included) I'd have enough to meet the price of a 61 in the UK. (not to mention I can't sell my Mac because I use it for everything else, and then I can't sell half the stuff in my studio because it belongs to the band/singer I work with). Because I reallllly would!
It would be great to be programming new sounds for the (most probably) masses of new KRONOS users.
I've never been able to afford a current-gen workstation, otherwise I could possibly do something commercial with it.

Yes, very worthy upgrade! I love my M3, but it's obvious that everything about the Kronos is worthwhile, easier to use (except the sequencer that hasn't been ported from the M3 and lack of pads), and that the Kronos is a kind of SUPER M3!

Hard to vote here.
If there were a way to convert EDS to HD-1 than I would sell M3 as soon as Kronos available, but since converting is not possible, than I see no motivation to by Kronos at all despite that I can afford it (the price for Kronos is really good selling point, but most of all I don't want to be overloaded with gear). Since I don't care is it Flash, HDD or SSD and how exactly sound processing is done technically, apart from extra sound engines and obviously better quality of HD-1 (in which I'm not much interested) to me there are only two real Kronus bonuses - Setlist with seamless program switching and audio recording.
To sum up - keeping two such workstations doesn't seem reasonable so I see only two options - stick to M3 and ignore Kronos or move on to Kronos loosing most of my work and get rid of M3
PS I would be extremely surprised if Korg is able to selling any M3 after Kronos is available

I plan on getting the Kronos which mean I will have both in my arsenal for the time. However if I see a need to unload the M3 in the future than I will sell it. I'm very satisfied with my M3 and hopefully having alongside the Kronos will not be an overkill, but an enhancement to my studio.

I think I would trade my m3 but, not in a rush. I have put my heart and soul in the M3 and very happy to have it. Plus I use the Polisix and Ms20 via midi and sample it into the M3. yea the kronos is a tight integration plus the extra sound engines is nice too. My answer is yes but, not right away

1. KRONOS doesn't have pads.
(I really like the M3m pads.)
2. I have no need for 9 synth engines.
(WTF would I do with 9 different synths inside KRONOS?
Why would I need an entire CX3? The CX3 patches in the
M3 are enough for me. And I absolutely LOVE one of them.
But I don't need a whole CX3.)
I WISH M3 had a lot more RAM though.
Finally, I paid $1099 for my M3m --- NEW!
It's one of the best musical instrument purchases I've ever made.

Well, I was going to sell the Trinity after getting the M3, yet it's still there in the attic 3 years later! I'd like to keep the M3 as well, but it all depends on what the Kronos actually sells for in the UK. That said, I don't think I'd get much more than about £800 for the M3 now ('61 with Radias EXB and M256) so it'd be a shame to get rid of a fantastic keyboard at such a depreciated value.

maybe I should have been a little more clear....
I think people are taking my question as I'm going to keep my M3 and leave the KRONOS as the store.
I was meaning I am going to keep my m3 AND get a KRONOS or.... I'm
going to get a KRONOS and sell my m3..
I guess I was just kinda assuming that everyone was going to upgrade....(if it was a worthy upgrade)
I'm not sure what happened to my NO it's not a worthy upgrade.

You know what I like about this post? It shows the M3 is a great machine and that all the naysayers that complain about this or that are proven wrong. Kronos...excellent looking keyboard. But my M3 is still a keyboard I play for hours, gig with no problem, and express my creativity consistently. So, I'll be keeping mine. Every keyboard can be improved on. Read the KRONOS threads, people are already complaining about it's shortcomings. Really? Korg, Yamaha, Roland, and all the rest will continue to get better and better but will never please everyone.
