D888 Output Assign quality??

Post by hoot762 »

Hi, can someone please help me with an irritating issue I'm having trouble out. I'm very new making home recordings well.

When I listen to a recording, and the Output Assign button is NOT lit (which sets it to Individual I believe), I can only hear tracks 1 and 2. And the sound is full and clear. If Output Assign button is lit, I can hear all tracks but the sound is quieter, almost muffled and is seriously lacking in quality.

Can someone please explain this issue? All I would like is to have all tracks sound like Tracks 1 and 2 do when Output Assign is set to individual. I am only using my headphones connected to Phone Jack 1.

Much thanks in advance.

Well if it sounds quiet and muffled you must mix it a little. Turn up the volume of those tracks you want to hear more and use panpots to pan the intruments in the stereo..
