Hi.. I can't get the tempo change to stick. tried to save it in STS ... hit the "write style" button and Record/edit current style.. and then hit "write style" on my way out.. then when I try to exit from record, it says"the style in edit will be lost if not saved . are you sure?"

and then I either go back, or exit and sure enough its still 140 bpm and i want it about 128 or so.

I have the factory protect mode off. I have a roll of duct tape which usually can fix anything, but I thought I would check here before I try that.

try to save with the display menue "write style performance"

Hi.... Tempo lock button should be off

Set your desired tempo:
Top right arrow>write style performane:

Click up & down buttons at thesame time (next to the tempo wheel) to reset the tempo to its default value

Thank You.. I had PA80 for 10 years and of course I didn't like some of the changes.. but I'm really liking this PA500. At first... I missed the features I could have on the PA800, but now that I see people having problems... I have about 1000 dollars less at risk, and now I'm using Mackie speakers so I don't miss the extra amplifiers in the PA800.

which Mackies are you using. SRM 450 I or II ?
I used the SRM450 1.Version for a short time.
That was the best sound i´d ever heard.

I have the SM 450 and I think they're version II, They're black. I got them on ebay for about 650 delivered so I got a really good deal. I did a wedding in a back yard this summer and I had some passive speakers which I thought were good enough with my powered mixer. But this other guy had the smaller makies for the DJ and I switched my keyboard over to his speakers and even the small Mackies sounded so cool and punchy in the bass. So I was thinking of getting the ones he had.. 350s but then I thought.. what if I get a big place to play and want to really make some noise.. then I would be ready and the price was right on this deal so I snapped them up. Seems like more trouble setting them up because you have to power them, but hey.. working hard is good for you. I have a valentines gig this afternoon and the lady keeps saying.. "but we have a keyboard." Yeah right , I don't want to use their piano that sounds like some kind of tone bells. I'm going to take my PA500 and try to put it up anyway. I played this place for a few years on this event.
Anyway, i want to get my music really polished up so its worth amplifying that loud. thanks a lot for the help.

Yep, I concur about the SRM 1's.

After the originals, Mackie transferred production overseas from the US, and the quality and sound went to crap!!

Still good mind you, but nowhere near as good as the originals.
