Indeed, I should stop viewing this kind of videos, they're ruining my gear shoplist for the year.

Nice video...Is it just my imagination, or is the keybed flexing considerably when he's playing piano and EP?

Was thinking about the same, think it's just the stand in combination with weird lighting on the body itself

Great video!
Here we go again - what about RTAS?

Again, a fine video by Rich, and again a painfully obvious omission of DAW integration with PRO TOOLS (ref time code 23:38).
What is the deal? Is Kronos going to support only VST and AU DAW integration or is the large Pro Tools user population going to get RTAS support too?

very nice demo video, seems the rompler is the weakest part of kronos, still getting one though.

Nice demo video....
Thanx for answering some questions I had.
Well... I am not painful for any features that the machine does not have...
I will work around .. real well... and that is the fun part for me..

Best Video Yet!! Thanks..
However, Is it me?..as I couldnt help notice how tiny the "Pad Buttons" were on the screen...look difficult to select! And the Trombones and Brass Section sound really cheezy to me!

Hi guys,
You're not imagining things, the keybed on my prototype 61-key came a bit loose before we shot the video. I'll stress the word "prototype." It's cosmetically and functionally the same as a production unit, but it was hand-built outside of our factory and has undergone some cruel and unusual experiments.
Also, I have to say, the HD-1 engine definitely isn't the weakest part of Kronos. It's immensely powerful. This being a tour of all nine engines (and going on a half hour), I didn't even have time to scratch the surface. All I did was show a few of the expansion libraries, but this engine goes DEEP. Each oscillator can consist of eight stereo velocity layers, which can crossfade from one to the next... and like the SGX-1 piano engine, it can read large sample libraries directly from the SSD.
KapnKrunch, sorry, no RTAS support at present. It will work with a VST wrapper within Pro Tools, though, and its CPU draw is relatively light, so all is not lost.
Sparkie, the little fields that I happen to be selecting are part of the overall pad. Each pad has fields where you can manually select and adjust eight notes, each with their own velocity.
Hope this helps!
-Rich

Might be a stupid question. But can I basically save a PCM sample from the STR-1, and add it in to the PCM Operator in Mod-7 on the Kronos?
