Can i use Radias Microphone with external sound card ?

Hi all,

I want to use my Radias microphone to connect my soundcard input.
I connect it but no sound or signal come, any ideas ?
Cant we use it with soundcards?

Hi audiokoop,

Condenser mics require the use of a sepparate power supply, which usually are available thru a switch labeled 48 volt "phantom power" located near the mic input like on the Radias. Some soundcards offer this option, others not.

Yes i pushed 48 volt "phantom power" button on my tc konnekt24 d sound card but still no sound :(

Maybe the pinning of the Radias mic jack isn't compatible with the soundcards pinning (see warning in page 15 of the Radias manual in the CONDENSER MIC jack description).
I remember trying to connect other condenser mics on a SB card years ago and the only that worked was the cheap SB mic itself. So you have to find the pinning of the Radias mic and maybe build an adapter. Some soundcard pinnings are listed here:

you could also just use your radias as medium using the evelope follower.
and have its audio going to your sound card.
plus say youre playing a game or something and you wanna talk to be people... you can show them your super cool sounds too :D
no that would be dumb... but yeah... this does work..
