Nice job as allways rich. Can't wait to hear more demos. Overall i like the piano tone, abit too bright maybe for my taste but it does not seem a problem from a tweakability perspective :)

Really nice overviwe Rich, but.... HEY! What's that big knob laden monster in the background there?? Is that... dare I say it... a NEW KORG PS3300?! Are you guys answering the Jupiter-80 threat head on?!

"Ready to tweak some real analog hardware?"

*wiggles with excitement*

Thanks, Rich!

Seeing informative videos and getting infos (manual would be great) is the best we can do until the Kronos release.

Nice job, Rich! I hope we can expect a similar video for each of the engines. I'd especially like to see an indepth exploration of the CX-3 engine.

Oh poop... don't tell me that my joke about the PS3100 got this yanked!

I don't suppose in a week there could be a vid about the electric piano engine too?

No worries, that wasn't it... And yes, that is a real (though not brand-new) PS-3300. :)

Yes, the next one will be focused on the EP-1 engine.

Thanks Rich. The SGX-1 video was very helpful.

I hope, on the EP-1 video, you go into depth on some of the parameters, e.g.
Harmonic Sound Level, Attack Noise, Attack Brightness and Hammer Width. What impact do these have on the tone? Is it possible to get a sound with little to no bell on the Mark I model? How much can you tailor the bark?

The pure Mark I tone Taiki Imaizumi gets in the "nine engines" video is my favorite. It sounds so expressive and detailed. Knowing that there are no velocity jumps in tone throughout make it all that more impressive.

Busch.

+ 1 on every line of Burnigbush's comment.

Just like him, I regard the dry Mk I sound - without the very unnauthentic thin high bell sound, which, if at all, rather sounds slightly reminiscent of an early silvertop or suitcase version, and irritated me a lot in many of the demo videos - as essential for getting some basic, great sounding Rhodes sound variations.

Additional variations with more bell tone are welcome, but this dry basic tone of the original Mk I, able to "bark" at high dynamics instead of producing lame "plings", simply is a MUST from my view, before anything else. If it would be missing from the spectrum of the EXi, that would force me to use a sampled high quality Mk I instead of the whole engine most times, which would be a real pity, and the available 300Mb in the standard configuration aren't even enough for that sample solution.

So yes, if possible, please try to demo us more of that fundamental dry Mk I sound, and not just the old "Buttefly" and "George Duke" presets again!
