Hi laotika

Firstly, can you please answer a couple of questions:-
1. What styles have you purchased and on what keyboard were they created?
2. Are you absolutely sure that they are fully compatible with the PA1XPro?
3. Have you copied the styles to your keyboard's hard drive?
4. Was it a SET or a ".STY" file that you copied?
5. If it was a SET, can you please let me know what folders are inside that SET?
6. What OS level is installed on your PA1XPro?

Sorry if this sounds a lot but it will help ensure that you get your styles loaded and do not cause any corruption.

Regards

Firstly,...thanks for helping.
as to your questions
1. The styles that I have purchased are laotian style, like cha cha and so forth. But what key was it created from, that I don't know.
2. Since it was label for Korg Keyboard on their site. I just take it, it being compatible. But again I new so I am going to go with not sure.
3. Yes, I copied that styles onto the hard drive, but with no success. These files are located on my computer and with my computer I am able to see the Korg's hard drive without a problem. All copies are do via USB cable.
4. I copied the FOLDER.SET first, but it did not work. So I tried coping the STYLE.STY to see if that would work, but no success.
5.Yes, the folders are called "TheName.SET" and within this folder there are three sub-folders; GLOBAL, PERFORM, PROGRAM, & STYLE. All the folders are empty except the STYLE FOLDER, it contains files called USER01.STY, USER02.STY, AND USER03.STY.
6. My keyboard is running OS 2.51, which came with it.

thanks,

OK - As you do not know which keyboard the styles were created on you must NOT load the GLOBAL folder.

Save all your USER data on your keyboard first
  • 1. Make sure you have everything you purchased backed up.
    2. Delete the GLOBAL folder and their contents (on your PC)
    3. Now copy the "SET" to you keyboard HDD
    4. On your keyboard, go into "Disk" mode and be in the "Load" tab screen
    5. You should see files on your HDD - find and highlight the "SET" you copied and press "Open"
    6. You will now see the subfolders PERFORM, PROGRAM, & STYLE
    7. Highlight "STYLE" and press "Open"
    8. You will see "xxxx.STY" files (or maybe just one)
    9. Highlight the .STY file and press Open
    10. You will now see all the styles - highlight one you want and press "Load"
    11. Select where you want it to be loaded.
    12. Now that style is on you keyboard ready to play.
IF YOU WANT ALL THE STYLES TO BE LOADED then at step 7 above press "Load" instead of Open - this will load the entire bank of styles in one go.

Hope this helps
