Kronos add ons (Expansions)

Post by EnjoyRC »

See page 788 of the Parameter Guide. Looks like there will be add ons that require authentication.

I like it!!!

Maybe just leftovers from the OASYS manual so I wouldn't get to excited just yet. P22 talks about LEDs that I don't think will ever be added.

"There’s a vertical column of LEDs next to each slider, and a ring of LEDs around each knob."

The Kronos has the same ability to authorize EXis like the OASYS.

I suspect Korg learned their lesson from the OASYS EXf situation -- only announce EX items when they are near release.

It wouldn't surprise me to see some additional EXis or EXs down the road.

Was there ever in the whole history of Korg a major workstation without any expansions/addons?
I would surprise me if there is NOT going to be any EX?'s.

you mean that they didn't even spend a dime on PROOFREADING [let alone REWRITING] the manual?

And that I printed then Kronos' manual when I might have used the Oasys'?

Uhm...

El Cheapo.

This is the point where usually SteveK or some other corporate apologist steps in and patronizes everybody explaining that it's perfectly rational, and that we just don't get the point.

Ozy,

You need to watch your comments. Our own Dan Phillips is the person responsible for writing both the OASYS and Kronos manuals.

The Kronos Operation Guide is 279 pages long. The Kronos Parameter Guide is 1151 pages long. That is OVER 1400 pages in total!

I think a few minor manual errors are to be expected. These are not the kind of manuals where you could hire an external proofreader and catch content errors like the one you mentioned.

Why don't you read both the Kronos Operation and Parameter Guides, cover to cover, find any errors, and submit the list to Dan? I am sure he would appreciate it (instead of your current whining).

Yah, I'm with Martin. You can bust a lot of people's balls around here, Dan's not one of 'em.

+1. I created a 100-page manual once, and there were a bunch of mistakes that my editor and I overlooked. It's a product of staring at the same thing for hours on end, day after day. Personally, I like the Kronos manual much more than the Triton manual.
