Portamento between mod sequencing notes?

I can't seem to figure out how to make a portamento sweep from note to note in my programmed mod sequence for my R3. I can adjust the portamento for between the notes I play on the keyboard but not for between the notes on my mod sequence. If anyone could help me out with this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

That's because a mod sequence isn't notes.
It's a modulation sequence to the pitch or volume or whatever. It is just one note that changes in pitch. Same as an LFO or Envelope.

I believe you can have a smooth or stepped mode, but that's it. Either way, its important to recognise the difference.

You could get close to what you're trying to do by using the modulation sequencer to add some and then no portamento over time while the arpeggiator is engaged.

For instance set the mod sequencer and the arp to quarter notes with key sync ON for both. Then just add glide via the mod sequence to the notes that you want. Try experimenting with different note values set to the mod and arp too.

You cannot designate a set melody with the arpeggiator, instead you will have to change chords on the fly. This is probably better than trying to perfectly time your playing.
