R3 tempo,

Post by Callifes »

I'm sure this is a dumb question I will get made fun of for, but I've tried searching online, through these forums, and in the manual.

Why does the tempo only show odd numbers up to a certain point? For example, I can't get it to do 80 bpm by twisting the knob, only 79 and 81, then 83 etc. I'm assuming its supposed to do that or is that an issue i'm having? There is probably some mathematical answer to this that I just don't get.

There's a few parameter read outs that function this way. Its due to how the knob encoders read which position they're in and how they transfer that to numeric data. The tempo has a huge range of numbers which the knob can't hit with every little nudge.

You can use the PC editor to dial in an exact tempo in the arpeggiator settings, or slave it to another machine via MIDI and save the tempo by writing the patch.
