Horrible news but not shocking at all. She'd been involved with drugs and crap for as long as I can remember. She had a whole series of concerts cancelled because she was too intoxicated to even stand on her feet. I wish she'd taken advantage of all the professional help available to her. I'm very sorry to hear this news..

She went to rehab like 4 or 5 times, right? Still, she would walk on the stage totally drunk.

The song "rehab" was a huge success though. It won multiple awards and all that, but no grammy award could stop anybody from killing themselves.

its horrible news but to be honest it was only a matter of time...Her life was just a train wreck and it seems nobody could help her but herself.

Very sad, a great talent...RIP...Giner, i think its more the Power of Fame then Addiction.
I grew up in a culture where we were though that Money, Power and Fame can only
kill you or completely destroy your life, at the time i was a kid and i thought
people were crazy saying that...but now the story is different...the facts are there.

I feel it was such a waste to let talent like that go. Still addiction is a disease and she was very sick. Also had eating disorders.

Sorry to differ, nedim, but there are plenty of very famous people with no addictions, and they're all still here to prove it. Nope, it's the addiction to those things that kill that does the dirty work. The 'Power of Fame' merely acts as a facilitator of sorts by rendering those who, for one reason or another, are unable to handle what the 'Power of Fame' brings. Ultimately, we are all the product of our own choices in life. And, as worth said, the only person who can help an addict is the person themselves - regardless of the addiction involved.
