Returned 61 key and got 88 key

My Kronos 61 key that I've had for a couple of weeks was just driving me nuts with the fan noise. I don't know if mine was louder than normal or what but I was not happy with it (the noise - loved the keyboard). When I returned it I found out they had 88 keys in stock so got an 88 key version. IMO well worth the extra money. No fan noise problem at all with the 88 keys and after playing synth action boards for years and going back to "real keys" is a big difference. I think any version of this keyboard is amazing. As I'm getting older by the day this may truly be the last keyboard I ever buy.

Congrats Tom! Where did you pick it up? Still waiting on mine to come in. Hopefully anytime now.
Lucky man, well done.

My 73 is due in 2 weeks. you'll love the weighted keys. Theres no substitute in my opinion. I Midi an SP250 to my old Triton at the moment to get a proper finger work out and 'that feel' of heavy hammers, so I need a twin rack stand. When I get my 73 I won't need to. Happy days.
Enjoy your 88 !

I've played on a 73 but for me it was too heavy but not overly heavy. I would for myself to for a 61, but I think I would manage to get used to a 73 if needed.
you would get used to it.

You would get used to it. I think the Piano sounds on the Kronos deserves weighted keys for ultimate expression etc. You can always get a basic midi semi weighted board if you miss it, for organ and synth solos, which wouldnt take up much room.
If its lack of room or finances, then fair enough. I got my 73 for £2799. Hamiltons in Preston UK.

thats what i wanted to do when i first got mine, but i decided to keep my XS8 and use it as a controller.... and i also use my a-70 when i need 76 semi weighted keys.
No room

Sounds like a great set up. I dont have much room, so workstations have always been the way for me. I can put up with the limitations, but the Kronos
is a dream and I think its a real looker to. I like the silver Triton because i could write chords sequences all over it with pencil

but back to black looks more luxurious . I'll have to go back to manuscript paper and post it notes

Another reason to buy a 61 versus a 73 is that it fits on the back seat of my car
