Pitch Black!

Post by bassman60 »

I haven't been here in a while. Last night I just bought myself a little Korg Pitchblack tuner. I was wondering if anyone has an idea how many compact effect pedals (e.g., Boss) this thing can power-up.

It can power up to 200ma worth of power.

So your answer depends on each pedals power consumption. If they are about 60ma each you can power up to 3, which is what the documentation for these tuners suggest.

Thanks, dude. I needed slightly more for my powering-up needs, so I bought a Visual Sound OneSpot. The Korg is always hooked up to my amp's tuner out jack; that is one awesome tuner! The visibility and accuracy are just great.

Yeah, I had bought the TC electronics poly tune and wasn't that happy with they way it functioned and how visible it is in playing conditions. I got the pitchblack plus and love and my local deal offered to allow me to trade in my used poly tune for a new pitchblack and I think I am going to take him up on it. Keep the plus on my full rig and the regular on my small rig.
