Build quality issue ??? fault ???

Post by TSUNAMI »

On my 61 Kronos tonight i noticed some thing which is either a fault with my unit or just sheer poor build quality ...... :(

Where the plastic gloss end cheek meets the main metal carcass under the keys, i have a little lip which looks like it may need to be under the metal. The reason i think this is tonight i was giving the Kronos a dust down and ran the duster under the keys and the metal moves down !!! to the right hand side ....

Hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but yes I can push the metal part down with my fingers... maybe the lip should be underneath to stop this?

I'm getting worried about the build quality too.

I'm still awaiting mine but it seems that Korg should be sent a dossier of all the faults found so far, along with photos, and asked for an official explanation.

Man I wish Clif from Sonikmatter were here. He would set everyone straight. I'm starting to understand why he's like that.

I took a moment in between playing and programming my 61 to look at this area and it seems perfectly fine the way it is. On top makes more sense than underneath. It looks like it's designed to COVER the area NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT underneath. I then went back to playing/programming as it's more enjoyable than trying to come up with cosmetic imperfections, real or imagined.

No problem here.

As I said, I would confront Korg support with anything not tolerable they deliver, but of course not with minimalistic cosmetic imperfections or things caused by users.

As I said, I am convinced they will be willing to help with major issues in their own interest.
