I Love the sounds from the softsynth "sylenth"
It would be awesome if someone who is good at designing sounds on the R3 could create a downloadable sound bank with the sounds from sylenth

The Radias is about 100 times more versatile than Sylenth1.

On the other hand, Sylenth1 has quite a characteristic sound of its own, and very high sound quality. I think it would be quite hard to nail Sylenth's sound on a Radias.

I have both, and I've never really felt that one is a replacement for the other. They actually complement each other pretty well.

Sylnth1 sounds ARE EXTREMELY easy to replicate on the RADIAS. however if you have the r3 you may have some difficulty, though you'll be able to get it pretty exact even on the r3.
But as always, the hardware has better sound quality.
I would make a pack, but i hate softsynths with a burning passion, as they come on cds and aren't real equipment

if you had a choice between a 600$ synth with real knobs, real leds and real sounds and a 300$ cd with a vst on it and nothing else, what would you choose? haha

Maybe I should try it with a couple of sounds and see how it goes.

Thinking about it, Sylenth1 is quite different in some ways to the Radias. It has four oscillators, each of which has unison and can be panned. Filter routing is different too. Some Sylenth1 sounds may need more than one Radias timbre, routed through the effects filter to have a similar structure to Sylenth1's four oscillators and two filters.

Sylenth also sounds quite different to the Radias, so you could easily end up with a similar sound that sounds like a Radias, rather than nailing the Sylenth1 sound.

I don't have an R3 so I can't comment on the difficulty involved.

but yea, Korg Radias has Blast processing like legit
its a heap of holy mass that can generate impressive soundscapes

would be cool to see how close you could get to sylenth.
The sounds I really like is the HOV sounds from sylenth (kind of the sounds from GAGA)
and allso some of the arpeggios

BTW,, if there is an actual synth (not softsynth) that sound like sylenth
what synth would that be?

i dont know why you would want to sound like a synth vst- its kind of thin sounding even with a great sound card, but i can tell you what could sound BETTER than sylenth-

Access Virus Ti 2 should do a pretty good job of making sounds like sylenth, BETTER than sylenth could ever do.

but another synth that would do good at that would be a Nord lead 3

and lastly: Alesis Andromeda A6 would do a pretty OUSTANDING job at such sounds.(theres a reason tiesto and klaas use one) lol.

the cheapest of these is the Nord lead 3- so i would go with that one, as it is quite a great synth for the money
