Please tell me how to record only Master/Track volume data?
I use overdub but then the track jumps all over the place. If I use overwrite, of course it overwrites the midi data. I can't see a logical way in the sequencer to record simply pans/volume controls.

Bump. Please help me, the manual doesn't show this. I need to just record volume/pan. I need to submit this for a film project so this is really holding things up. The volume shoots down and then up again.

It works exactly as it is suppose to, I just did it. Here's what to do..
Do a test and set up a pad in Seq. and record 8 measures. Listen back. Now go to Preferences and set the Recording setup to Overdub.
Now go to Control Surface and highlight "Midi 1-8. Now in the Midi Track Select, select Highlight Track 1 (Make sure that only track 1 is Record enabled)
Hit Record Write and start recording, turning the Pan knob while watching the Value on the Control Surface page. Stop recording and playback. Voila!
You now should hear the pad panning from the data you just pressed to track.. Hope that helps.

Wow thank you very much. I am going to give it a shot. Ended up re-recording the whole thing from scratch last night, but I saved the original .sng with the issue. Couldn't really find it clearly stated out in the manual.
