I happened to stumble upon this video and saw perhaps the first screenshots/images the upcoming Kronos editor?
To me it looks awesome, more like an clone of the actual kronos UI with the tabs on the bottom unlike for example the M3 editor which had no similarities the the M3 UI.

Edit: added one more image since the text was blocking parts of the screen

I notice the SEQ is part of the editor. It would be great if editing has been expanded to include a graphic piano roll vs. the Event Edit List.

It looks quite like the screen of the Kronos itself.

Maybe if they could make it 100% equal (or maybe you can set it that way), you can program it in big screen while gigging with the built in screen. And when gigging it's not that necessary to read all the small characters.

you mean gig with a laptop and have it in full screen during a gig?

No, not at all.

I mean at home program everything with a big monitor attached to the Kronos and while gigging use the (small) screen of the Kronos.

I beg to differ.... just cloning the editor screen on a full PC won't be good at all, even just for the UI.

We should be able to do a lot more with the software editor than what could be done on KRONOS itself.....

I would also like the software editor mode to be independent of the KRONOS.... let's say I am in a SEQ song on KRONOS, and I want to edit a drums kit..... I want to stay in Song on KRONOS, but use the Global mode in the editor to modify the drum kit, then send the changes to KRONOS.... If it works like the M3 editor, then I can't call up different modes on the software editor to tweak and the submitting the changes to KRONOS.....

just my 2cents

You are making these assumptions from one screen shot? I would think the editor will be at the very least comparable to the previous Korg editors if not much better.
I can't say that it will be a total upgrade from the M3, but it's arrival will be most welcome.. and helpful to say the least.

Don't get wrong.... it is definitely welcome. But those screenshots are sort of dissappointing.. for example, why do they need to just show those parameters on one page... with high resolution monitors of today... they can fit many more parameters on one screen giving you several different levels of view at the same time..... let's just hope that these screenshots are just of the KRONOS screen itself.
