Hello everybody.

Has anyone noticed a sound distortion when playing fast and strong (with high velocity)?

I have this problem especially when using acoustic piano sound and playing fast and strong,with constant use of the sustain pedal.

Its not a speaker problem as I've tested it in various systems.

Maybe you have the volume slider too high, what happens if you lower it and increase the output of the speaker?

To be honest I always play at maximum volume.
I'll try at lower values and see.

Decreasing the gain of the speaker is also a solution.

Thanks michelkeijzers,that sorted it out.

The point is that I use maximum value of the volume during gigs as I don't have clear sound projection of myself.I guess I'll have to sort it out with the sound engineer of the stage during soundcheck.

Yeees!!!! me too. in M3 mon piano Prog A001 when a play some notes strongly the sound turn distorded!!! and in others prog is the same. I low the volume but is the same! is like the efects no support the gain of the oscilators....

Korg synthesizers have a very high output (correct me if I'm wrong).
The disadvantage is earlier distortion (but can be 'fixed' easily by not putting the main volume slider to the top or better: to decrease the gain.

The advantage is a high signal on the cable resulting in less 'loss' (relatively).

the high output is not the problem. When the silder is at 1/8 the problem continous....is the synth.

In that case you could lower the volume of (one of the) oscillator(s) or maybe there is an effect that causes problems (equalizer maybe?)

mmm no....is a OS problem? I try 2 M50 and is the same. The low G note when a play it repitly with sustain the sound is satured.... on M3 mono piano. Try it!

Adchiapin I've spent some hours testing it myself and I've finally come to the conclusion that there really exists a problem here not associated with the volume slider.
It has to do with the sound structure.

I wonder how can it be that we are the only ones that have noticed it!
Tested it in 5 different p.a. systems (including electrovoice,yamaha and jbl speakers),2 professional monitor (tannoy reveal 8d ,krk v8) plus a pair of professional headphones (sennheiser hd 25).

The users around here should try it too and tell us about it.
It's really a shame for Korg to have preset sounds that produce distortion in the instrument.Nobody ever tested them?

Have you tried reducing the level in the "amp" section? It could be a simple tweaking misjudgment, they always try to get maximum level out of the patches without distortion.

I didn't try the amp,I lowered the oscillators but without luck.
I'll get to it.
