Recently any bass sounds on my microstation fade out and lose theyre bassiness when the same keys are in continuous use. if i release the keys quickly for plucky like bass riffs its fine but when i wanna draw out some notes like an arpeggio the bass drops out and im just left with the treble timbre. its real discouraging cus i dont know much about synths im really just using it now for drums and synth pads. anybody with the same keyboard that knows whats up? thx...

Two things could be happening.

First, most bass sounds die after that initial attack on purpose. That is the way their programmed. To change that you'll need to go into the amp menu and increase the volume of the sustain part of the ADSR (attack-decay-sustain-release) envelope. This will give you a more organ-like response, i.e., the sound stays at max volume for as long as you hold down the key.

Second, mono sounds (like many synth basses) can be set in strict mono or legato mode. Mono re-triggers with every new note. Legato allows an initial attack with following notes appearing at the sustain-value-volume as long as you play in a connected or legato style. As soon as you fully release the next note played will have the attack portion of the sound. It appears you are trying to get a mono response from a legato bass -- hard to impossible to do.

So... RTFM. This is pretty basic stuff and should be a quick learn: Amp envelope. Mono / Legato / Poly key response modes.

Until you get a handle on that, try using LEAD sounds played at the bottom of your key range or transposed down 2 octaves (-24); they should get you
the synth bass sounds (and response) you're looking for.
